Congratulations to Megan Gafford the November 2011 Crown Girl of the Month! It is such an honor to have so many fabulous young women in our Crown Girl camp and one of our newer shining star is Megan. With a back to back win at FL OLM she sealed her fate as the first young lady in many years to win Living Doll and a state title in the same weekend! Other titles we salute Megan for winning are Miss Miracle Queens, RIM Nationals Queen! ♥ You go Crown Girl!

Congrats too to all the competitors and winners at the Little Miss Haines City and RIM Charity pageants this past weekend. So proud of your team spirit and cheering each other on.

What is your favorite thing about pageantry:

There are so many aspects of pageantry that I love that I can't narrow it down to just one. I love the network of people that I have met through pageantry. Its amazing to be around individuals that share your same passion for community. I enjoy inspiring and being inspired by others in pageantry. Pageantry has opened so many doors for me that I never dreamed possible!

What is your favorite things about being a fabulous Crown Girl:

I am honored to be a fabulous Crown Girl. Being a Crown Girl is part of a sisterhood in pageantry that is like no other. Crown Girls inspire and support each other. Even though I am older than many, if not all of the other Crown Girls, I learn so much from them. My Crown sisters are always encouraging me and inspiring me to be my best.

What is your favorite color lipstick:

My favorite lipstick is MAC "Oh Baby"

What is one thing you could not live without on pageant day:

When young women begin their journey thru pageantry they are often trying to live up to the standards they view that others have set before them. I love the feeling of high competition and the amazing energy that comes from being on stage. That is the one thing I miss being on the other side of the competition line but I love to see my Crown Girls shining on stage.

I try to make sure that the importance of competitive individuality is always our focus. When I say 'competitive individuality' I mean creating yourself as a great competitor and honoring the things that make you special. It is an amazing thing to see a young women who is self confident and truly loves who she is. It shines brighter than any stage light and looks more amazing than 50,000 rhinestones when you truly love yourself.

I know it is so cliche but you truly have to be willing to go on sort of a personal journey to truly achieve your goals. It is only when you begin to follow your heart as a dreamer turned doer that you will find your greatest strengths lie within your ability to rock the runway with your own fabulous glow!

I am so honored to have been selected as the first ever Feature Crown Girl of the Month! It seems like forever ago that Miss Liz and I met at a small pageant in South Carolina and now I am addicted to those bright stage lights I share with my Crown Girl sisters. I have had the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing girls from across the country and even the UK. The relationships I have developed with my fellow Crown Girls are such a huge part of what makes Revolution Studio & Crown Consulting so special. It's true what they say ..... Crown Girls ROCK!

As a client of Liz Everett with Revolution Studio & Crown Consulting I have truly gained so much confidence and had so many opportunities. This past year I was a Top 10 finalist at Miss SC Teen, Top 15 at America's Perfect Nationals, won several local titles like Teen Miss Oktoberfest and had the opportunity to shoot with top photographers in the modeling industry. It was an incredible day today at the Fall Festival Parade with our fabulous Crown Girls! We had an incredible time together and they participated in other community events after including the greased pig contest, a talents showcase, and model walk competition. Congrats again to our feature Crown Girl of the Month Makaela Shealy! It is truly an honor to have such an incredible young lady be recognized as our first Feature Crown Girl of the Month which is a program we will be doing each month for the girls.

Recognizing both their achievements on and off the stage is a huge part of what we have built our name upon. As our family grows we search for opportunities to honor our fabulous Crown Girls commitment to personal excellence and Makaela truly embodies all of these Crown Girl characteristics.

A Moment with Miss Liz about Makaela:

Makaela and I have a great story together. We met in South Carolina while filming for TLC's King of the Crown at the Lake Murray American Girl pageant. It was a great event and I knew right away that I was in love with her. She had a sense of spunk, sparkle, and humility both on and off the stage. That is definitely what I look for when I am considering a new client.

Over this past year Makeala has shot for Super Models Unlimited Magazine, won several overall titles including the overall title at Miss Columbia Teen where she captured the hearts of the judges by winning every optional and would go on the make Top 10 as well as being recognized as a top fitness finalist at Miss South Carolina Teen. Recently she captured a Top 15 spot at America's Perfect Teen with her other Crown Sisters Anysha Panesar, Brianne Munz, Lourdese Marzigliano, and Britta Thostrup. She was also crowned Teen Miss Oktoberfest in South Carolina. We have big plans for this Crown Girl!

It is amazing to see what Makaela has done over the last year. I knew she was talented but she and her family have truly supported everything I have asked her to do over the last year. They are truly great people. I always enjoy working with her. She is very focused during her sessions and willing to try whatever I ask her. Makaela has great instincts and a beautiful heart.

Her future is brighter than the sun! I am honored to have such incredible young ladies represent my dream of creating the best and brightest young women in the world. Revolution Studio offers Voice Lessons and on-location talent preparation

Starting next Wednesday October 13, 2010 Revolution Studio & Crown Consulting will begin it's third season of vocal instruction with talented instructor Stephani Fohrman. Stephani is a classically trained opera singer with a bachelor of arts in music studies with an emphasis on vocal performance from the University of South Florida. She is currently an award winning choral director and is an active member of Florida Music Educators Association as well as Florida Vocal Association. Stephani is also a memeber of Sigma Alpha Iota which is a national professional women's music fraternity. She is state talent winner and has also won multiple Miss America Organization talent awards as a former competitor in the Miss Florida local pageantry program.

Stephani has become a huge part of our tradition of bringing the 'total package' young woman to the stage. Her background and vocal knowledge give her the ability to not only get the best out of our clients but create an amazing structure for them to grow as performers. This year our vocal students will also have the opportunity to do more community performances and a Christmas program.

Do not wait til the last minute to begin getting your daughter ready for their talent or to begin their love affair with music. We have booked out first few slots already and only have three left for Wednesday. An alternate booking day will be allotted upon our first day being filled.

Favorite things about being a Crown Girl: That I have sisters in different states and countries, and that we are all like a giant family when we are together! No one hesitates to celebrate another girl's sucess and we all have motivated dreams for ourselves and for the Crown girl team! :)

Favorite Crown Girl memory: There are so many!! My favorite moments come when we share experiences together and talking to my Crown Sisters via skype:)

How did you get started in pageantry: When I was 3 my mom put me in a local pageant and my dad was my escort. Everything was fine until I walked on stage. I was a pretty rambunctious little girl so when dad was trying to keep me still,I screamed from the stage "mommy daddy won't let me go!!!" I didn't win, but I tried again when I was in 7th grade at my school pageant and won "Miss 7th Grade" from that point on I was hooked to the glitz and glamour of the stage.

What is your biggest goal: My biggest goal in pageantry is to have a National Title within the next 2 years. My major personal goals are to become a Broadway actress and sucessful spokesperson for both childhood obesity with my organization Passion 2B FIT as well as the Children's Miracle network.

New Season, New Crown, New Personal Challenge

I have to say that this vacation has been the best thing ever for me. I have such a renewed since of clarity and every now and then that is truly what a person needs. The challenge of beauty and pageantry is that we set high standards for ourselves, work to achieve them and sometimes the journey is longer than expected.

Every girl's journey is different and there are no guarantees at the end of the day but stop right now and make a renewed set of goals for yourself before this new season of bling begins. We are on the cusp of new challenges so focusing yourself on your true personal perspectives will only help you focus on achieving the goals you set for yourself this year.

This week I have challenged myself to journal everyday and to think of one relaxing thing that I can make a habit as I begin this new season. I love my career path more than anything because it is a true chance to create pathways for the futures of amazing young women.
